- SSAS Pensions

What are the pitfalls when using Google Ads for Pension leads?
Local Pension Leads
The great thing about Google is it treats some searches as local and some as national.
This means that you may only ave to fight your local competitors rather than all the national ones to get some people to your website for free.
When we search for “Pension Advice” here locally to Peterborough we see the following result: (Correct as of 13th August 2021) .
How To get Featured
Although being featured on the “Map Pack” is not just about Google Reviews it is a big factor. This map sits high in Google’s search result and doesn’t cost you a penny if people click on the website link (which they do!).
Google is looking to promote the firms in the map pack who consistently delight their clients. The only way they can monitor this is through your reviews.
They also seem to value the age of the business – we see more established firms featured here even though they have less reviews and have not optimised their map listing.
Make sure the address on your website exactly matches the address on your map listing too, and that the name of your business is the same.
Try using all of the features in Google My Business (The tool that manages your Map listing) like posting, adding images and videos too.
By being featured in the top 3 means you’ll get more people looking for someone like you to your website without spending more on advertising.
